Projects and demonstrations involving collaborative robots in food preparation and service applications.

FOOMA JAPAN 2022

Developed and demonstrated an autonomous crepe-cooking system utilizing multiple collaborative robot arms based on DENSO WAVE’s COBOTTA platform.

The system automated the complete crepe preparation process, including batter dispensing, spreading, cooking, topping, and folding. Custom end-effectors and cooking tools were designed and fabricated to enable reliable food-handling operations.

Particular attention was given to human-robot collaboration, safety, and practical deployment in food service environments. The project showcased how collaborative robots can support food preparation tasks while maintaining flexibility and ease of operation.

The demonstration attracted significant attention as an example of next-generation food robotics and was featured by several media outlets covering FOOMA JAPAN 2022.
